$25 Airbox Mod

Been busy this morning.
Did an airbox mod with stuff I oredered for 4" dust collection systems.

6" Jointer Hood $6
Clamp $1
10 ft hose $19 ( I only used 18")

These items can be purchased at a woodwrorking supply store or like Rockler.com.

The hose I used had the wire reinforcement in it. If it does wear out I got another 8.5 ft of it.

I did this in conjunction with a muffler delete and the throttle feels way lighter. Spools nice also.

Nice job...

A buddy of mine did the same thing but took it a step further. He put a 90 on the end and ran it up behind his empty light hole on the bumper.

I did think about the 90, but I have fogs so I didn't think it would do a lot more.
I am a neat freak in the garage, thanks for noticing.
My wife says its an obsession ,my buds say it's a sickness.
Fridge full of Bud, Satellite radio, gotta be comfy.

I've seen them use the metal or plastic ends for dryer hose, so you don't have to screw a mounting point into the airbox, just cut a hole closely to the diameter of the dryer hose end, push the end through, it catches on its own rim/edge, and then secure a hose underneath. Maybe less work, who knows?
