TST and BDDL

Well after getting a few miles on the new Goerend tranny I think I have broken it in pretty good. I decided to go ahead and download the BDDL and the use the TST. I put the BDDL on "Tow" and left the TST on HP=1/TQ=0. I started on my way to Indianapolis and noticed that every time I went up a hill with the cruise on the truck would surge when it topped out the hill. It felt like I was hitting the rev limiter. I know it was cutting back since it was going over the set cruise speed, but it did it every time over the 77 mile trip. I ended up turning the TST to 0/0 and it was better, but still occured. So I know the issues were with the BDDL. No codes or anything. I guess I am curious if any of you guys have noticed this driveability issue with this set-up.
I like the BDDL for off the line, but at times I think it is a little aggressive. I have considered trying some different modules/ programmers to see what they do. Since I drive the truck daily on the highway I use the cruise a lot, so the surge issue is a little of a concern. Any suggestions of what works great as a stack with the TST that will give me similar off the line power? MP-8, Quadzilla, Edge, Smarty, etc???

So do I take it that no one else has this problem with the Bullydog?
I had also heard that the Bullydog being downloaded and removed and then using another downloader can cause problems. I was looking for some sort of module suggestion you guys have tried that wake these trucks up down low, but still work well with the TST.

I have been thinking of the TS Performance MP-8. Maybe on a low setting I wouldn't have any problems and get a little more on the bottom end. I wonder what the Van Aiken or Edge EZ would do?

I have the TST/EZ stack on mine. The EZ does give me the surge with the cruise on when below 70 mph. Running 75-80 I don't notice it. Mine is an 03 with the vacuum controlled cruise control. I had not heard of the newer ones having a problem with the EZ.

I think you can stack a VA C3.1 with it but not a C3.2. It's a duration box and the TST already does duration.

I have just the TST on my truck right now and don't like it at all. Since installing the new turbo it takes a lot of throttle before the TST starts fueling. Once it kicks in it is brutal and the RPMs shoot up to redline in an instant. I hit 3500rpm yesterday and I was only on level 2/2!!!! I'm going to put my MP8 back on and hopefully that will give me my bottom end back and make it so I don't need so much pedal to make this thing move. I had both boxes on before the turbo install and the only issue then was lack of fuel. I'll be needing a better LP soon if I plan on running both boxes......

for drivability I would use a flash pack. I did a lot of towing with fp on performance and tst on timing only. This worked awesome with no smoke and great low end power even with my 66. The BD I feel is gaining about 30hp but i give up a lot of drivability and the damn thing smokes like a dirty bastard.

Several guys around here are running the MP8 and the Smarty stacked with the TST and have had great results and they've got some really good running trucks. It's very impressive what the MP8 and the Smarty do as far as smoothing the TST out. No experience with the Bully Dog/TST stack though.

Well, when looking around the MP-8 is less of an expense....so I might just run that one and keep it on low settings (except if I want to play) since it is supposedly fuel pressure. I know that some guys have even run a BDDL, TST, and MP-8 stack...but I don't think the factory turbo would llike that at all. Thanks for all the replies and I will let you all know what I decide and how it works. Any other suggestions...throw them at me!!
