Banks Edge TST Commander?????????

I have to say that I love my new truck and this site is awesome. I've been into hot rodding and modifying trucks my whole life, but as this is my first diesel i am completely lost as too which box/controller is my best choice. My plans are for a brute force intake and some type of exhaust. Im looking for a mild increase in hp and torque but my main goal is reliabilty. Im a long way from upgrade turbos and injectors and that sort of stuff. At least until my warranty expires. Are there any controlers out there that are warranty friendly, or at least easily removable? And which one would be the most gentle on the drive train while still giving me an increase in performance. I know I need guages but since many of those boxes offer EGT, boost, and other engine monitoring, I dont want to spend money where I dont need to. Any opinions or advice is appreciated.
thanks, Jason

1) Any simple pressure box with give 30-50 safe hp (more if needde but I think 50 is most by pressure on a stock truck, IMO)

2) Unless you know your dealer, its hit and miss - some will report you to dodge, some wont. Bottom line is all HP boxes will void a warranty if dodge wants to

3) ABout 50hp on a stock auto is enough to tax it to an early grave

4) I agree, most of those chips will be higher HP (IMO I like the TST best) but you can grow into them...

The addiction will hit you and that mild hp increase will be a drive to get to 500hp, then 550 hp, then 600 hp and then ???

In all honesty, I think the TST is the best one to go with. It will definitely tax the stock tranny, but if you use moderation you will be okay. The Banks is really too much for the money. I know because my first module was the Banks. It is safe reliable power, and enough to run with a Mustang, but you will outgrow it. Not a whole lot stacks with Banks either, so that kinda means you have to buy another programmer. I now have the TST and love it. It is good for top end power, and you really feel it too. I also have the Bullydog downloader, and if you want something aggressive off the line, then that is what you want. The downfall there is that it can be too much for the stock trans too.
I have not owned Edge or Quadzilla products, but everything I have heard about them is really good. I know several of these guys here have a few miles on their trucks with the Edge and Quadzilla stuff without any problems. Hopefully they will chime in and give you some more info.

Oh, Congrats on the new diesel purchase!!

Thanks for the info guys. I've always been a horse power junkie so purchasing parts that allow for growth makes sense. Im going to look into the Bully Dog Downloader since I believe I can go back to stock any time I want (hope Im right about that one) I got the 6 speed manual so I dont have to worry about taxing the tranny, maybe the clutch eventually:-) Anyone with anything bad to say about the Bully Dog, please chime in.

Nothing bad, But I would also consider the SMARTY if you are looking at programmers...
