HI Tom-
Just got my twins in on the dodge in between clean ups- much quieter now. But I just picked up some 5" pipe.

Got mine straight piped except for the resonator thing that the megacabs have and its just right for me. Has a nice low tone to it and doesnt get annoying going down the highway.

I am staying with the 4" pipe with a 5" tip. I am loosing the Aero muffler and going back to being straight piped. I was straight piped with the BD Tow Twins and really didn't like the sound. I hope the R-700's sound better running straight. Why no 5".......... cost. Don't really want to replace the entire exhaust. Other than the sound I can't imagine any real big benefit between 4" vs 5" piping.

You'd spool slightly quicker with the 5". Also, a complete system can be had (aluminized) for $330 including shipping. As if you can't tell, I'm a fan of the 5", hehe.

I decided on the 4" straight with 5"tip. Took the aero off and I am pleased with the sound. Different from before when I was straight piped with the Tow Twins. The R-700's sound alot nicer straight piped. Really good tone at idle and light throttle. WOT its not bad at all. Seems to spool a tad better. With the aero muffler off i looked inside and the baffle closes down to 2" in the middle before exiting. That had to have some restriction. Also when I come to a stop temo drops a tad faster while waiting to shut off. Good choice for me. Anyways thats my thoughts. So for me, I like it straight piped.
