EZ Pressures??

Can someone with a rail pressure gauge tell me how much pressure an EZ runs on each level. I'd like to know pressure at idle, cruising at 70 mph and WOT. Mine is an 03 if that makes a difference.
I'd like to turn it up from level 1 to help with the bottom end. But I don't want to put too much strain on the injectors and cause a problem.

Thanks, Randy

This could be rather interesting. I have never measured the rail with an EZ myself. Hopefully someone has or can for us.

Can't help you with the rail guage but you should be OK up to level 3. I ran my 03 on level 4 or 5 for a couple years with no apparent problems. When I sent my injectors to Formula1 he said that one of them showed a little damage from the pressure. He said NEVER go above level 3.....

Don M told me at one time that 50hp from pressure is all that would be good due to long term wear on the tips...

I would be able to hook my EZ back up even with my new TST and see what level 3 does to the RP...

If I can get a free moment I will let you know...

On level 3 I see 19k VERY EASY...

The roads were wet at lunch today so I did not get a max RP reading - I will see what I can do on the way home

One note - A RP gauge is a must have IMO (after using one for a week or so)

Just cruising down the highway at 70 without the EZ on I see 20-22k psi

I can'y really see a change in pressures with it on or off, readings vary greatly depending on any little bit of load

Wow. Cruising at 70mph with no pressure box nets me mid 14K rail pressure.

I also notice after I dip in the throttle and hold - when the truck eases up on load and the truck moving - My RP stays arounf 17-19k...

I would expect it to fall off but it does not

Thanks for the info. I turned my EZ up to level 3. Seems to have quite a bit more timing rattle. I may hit level 2 and see if there is a difference.

AK and Tomey, You have injectors. How does that effect rail pressure? Will you have less than my stockers?

Thanks, Randy

Just realized that you two are both sticks. You guys are geared higher and your RPMs are probably over 2K at a 70mph cruise huh? I'm a hair below 1800RPMs at 70mph. That makes a big difference in rail pressure.
