Marco posted more information on the DTR. A firmware update is required to the SMARTY for the PoD to function. The unit will need to be sent in for the upgrade.

loll nice. Im sure glad I bought a smarty. Every time smarty gets a little quite. BAM! Bob and Marco release some new for the smarty its great I love it. Can ever get bored with the smart because they are always releasing something new for it. This pod is going to work very nice 4 me; with my big turbo and bigger injectors I cant run the smarty on my truck I have to run with no programmer unless I know im going to need the tuning for some sort of event. So now I can keep 9 on all the time this will be awesome. wink wink hey bob if you need any more beta testers shoot me a pm :P maybe you need a tester in the idaho location. ha , its always funny but always worth a try.

Be nice if they had a dash mounted pad, so you did not have to hook and unhook WHILE DRIVING, which is dangerous. I have been in 6 wrecks , tboned twice, rearended 3 times and once while sitting still in a parking lot. No make that 7 one lady pulled right in front of me while I had flashing amber lights, wide load signs and 18x18 inch red flags on all corners of a 12foot x 32foot long storage building, bright white in color. She told the police "she never saw me" BUll#@*T. Sorry about the soapbox, just be nice to have a dash mounted programmer. My 2 cents

how will this affect it if you are running a pressure box as well? Like how some people run the smarty on the even numbers to not do timing. will you be able to do the same thing with the POD?

You can load whatever SW # you want and be able to control the power at that point. So if you choose to run #8 you can do so.
Here is a link to a post from Marco about this new POD

oh ok now i get it.......i think. lol

essentially you can say load level 8 so you have no timing and can safely run your pressure box with the smarty, then you can sort of chose whether you want the full potential of level 8 (99) half potential (50) or basically not there (01) and whatever in between?

is that the concept behind it or did i miss something?
