Does this allow the turbo to spool quicker or just get more max boost?

with a stock turbo I saw more boost from half throttle on. Full boost was the difference between 30 psi and 41 psi. I really like mine!

I just put one on mine but my boost gauge isn't working right now I also got one that plugs into the sensor on the bottom of the turbo. Anyone know anything about that one? I haven't installed it yet.
