Yeah stockers are good to 60psi and 3500rpm...above that you need some heavier springs.

Not!

At 50 psi and over 3200 rpm's is "borrowed" time.

To be honest I would do them earlier too but people have run over 50psi of boost on stock valve springs and really I have not heard of failures. I agree it is less then ideal but can be done. If I was consistently running over 50psi I would get some better VS and head studs but for the short term I think you would be ok.

I have run up to 64lbs boost without problems. Yet I will be upgrading springs soon. I average 42 - 50lbs boost to keep things in check.

Not saying you can't do it or that it will die immediately, but, the guys I that have found issues are seeing little eyebrows in the pistons.

There is really no indication the pistons and vlaves are meeting until something breaks. When that happens its gonna be ugly!

It seems one can spin 3500 os so if the pressures are kept at 40 psi and under, or, 50 psi is doable but the rpms really need to stay at or under redline.

These are really guidlines for safe operation but it all varies from truck to truck.

Oh I totally get what you are saying. And upgrading the springs is the safest and polly the smartest thing to do in the long run.

engine sounds changes

well at about 2600 rpm and 45psi the sound of the engine changes could this be the intake valves getting blown open if i have weak springs less of an engine sound and moe of a buzz when it does it

easy way to tell: check your drive presure!
eaven at a 1:1 reatio, you are makeing enough boost/drive to open the valves by them selves, and i doubt in that range you are seeing a 1:1 ratio. i bet @ 50 psi you see 75psi drive or more. add rpm to the game and its just borrowed time.
