Dream 5.9 common rail build

I wanna know if funds weren't an issue and you were building a triple threat truck (race sled off road) what would you do? Starting with a brand new crate motor

6.7 longblock with billet rods and girdle, Cut and coated pistons, medium size cam (your choice on how aggressive), ported and polished head with side draft intake, valve springs and pushrods, 06-07 5.9 electronics and injectors with 143 nozzles. From there it really depends on your horsepower goals as to how big the pumps, injectors, and turbo(s). There are some things I am leaving out like freez plugs and coolant bypass, but that would pretty well get the long block taken care of.

I like your ideas and no HP goal I just wanted to see what ideas y'all could come up with as a "dream " build top to bottom

I would probably stick a 66/488 turbo setup and a set of 150%ish injectors in it with dual modded pumps. Would make for a good spooling setup for the street with the potential to make 1200+ on fuel.

Manual or auto? My answer will be based off that. I like the thread idea.

I'd choose auto but that's just me. No boost loss between shifts

Well I like my auto. My buddy has an 06 QCSB with a g56 and it runs good but after riding in both, I like the auto better. Nothing against manuals, just my opinion.

K heres my dream build.

6.7 Bottom end/5.9 head. 64/480 or 66/488. Side draft w/ P&P, billet rods, 14mm Girdle, springs, pushrods, studs, Aggressive street cam, custom tuning, at least 100% injectors, dual wicked pumps, balanced, rev to 4500.

On the street a g56 with street triple. Detuned to 800hp. Never shift hard in 4x4!

Swap in a full built 48re w/ full manual valve body for track days and pulling days. Go to a strong tune to push 1000hp on fuel. Spray the heck out of it down the 1/4' on an even hotter tune.
