You're gonna love it. As said above though, a pump is needed and will wake up the top end quite a bit. Maybe look into a blow off valve, it'll bark pretty good when you let off without one or learn to let off easy.

Yeah I've learned to let off early. Going to going twin pumps when I get some cash saved back up. The shop I bought the manifold has a diverter valve if I don't like the spool, he ran it and a s480 single no problem on the street. I know the top end will be light on fuel but it'll still be gun to drive until the then. Can't wait to run it and see what she does on the 1/4. Truck started out as a DD and is slowly turning into a play toy drag truck, only with two car seats in it at the track.

Caleb, was the 480 too much to spool with your setup. I have been following your thread and curious as to why you are dropping to a 72

yeah just couldnt get that 80 spooled all the way its fun dont get me wrong but i would like a better kick on the top and of course some better dyno numbers, I know ill be able to spool a 72/83 .9 with out the super and itll support some good power so seemed like a good choice

i saw this thread about a 71 and some 150s and figured i come see how it works for you

edit: FI is good people, my 80 and now my 72 is coming from them, i hope you have as good luck with them as me.

Yeah so far FI seem like good people, they got me all the little things needed to hook it all up and hopefully won't have any major roadblocks while installing. Also looks line I am getting a 472 instead of a 471 but no biggie. I am anxious to see how it pulls on the top end compared to my special.
