Edge juice with attitude problems

I bought a used edge juice with attitude and doesnt seem like its good. The truck is a 2003 dodge auto, has stock size straight exhaust. It seems like there was a little increase in power but no smoke and the truck is getting around 17mpg. I'm kinda new to putting performance parts on diesels so I was wondering if this sounds right?

Welcome, you most likely have alot of issues to address with your truck especially if it's stock. The first thing would be to get gauges to see if you have enough fuel pressure, boost pressure, what the EGT's are like etc. If all was well, the Edge should be giving you a nice performance boost.

Well my edge has the egt and boost built in to the monitor. This morning on my way to work and normal driving on level 3 "drive" my egt's were about 500 while accelerating. I think cruising 70mph they are still about 500 to 600 degrees. The highest I've seen them go up to was 1000 which I was in the gas pretty hard. I don't have fuel pressure gauge yet will get one real soon. I was just trying to see if maybe the edge could be no good or if something could be wrong with the truck since it doesn't smoke. I've seen lots of truck with edge and they smoke pretty bad not wanting to go smoke people out and give diesel anymore of a bad rep just wanting to make sure my truck is good.

Those EGT numbers are really low. Return the truck to stock and make the same observations, this will tell you if the Edge is adding anything. What you really need is to see if you're starving for fuel.

First of all make sure the Edge is for your year of truck. I believe they build different Edges for certain years. Mine smokes when shifiting from gear to gear and when I accelarate up when in #3. I can notice a difference in HP when I have the Edge set in stock mode as opposed to a different setting. Make sure if you haven't already go through the settings for the Edge tire size, egt waring ect. Another thing to do is call them and explain your problem and model you have they have a great service dept. Hope this helps.

if you have the settings wrong the truck will defuel, best test I know is to double tap the bottom button and a screen will come up that will allow you to set a time for how long you are disabling all the safe guards, it defaults to 1 min, so you can either add a couple mins then hit the bottom button again, road test and you should see a huge difference in power. while the safeguards are removed the power level indicator (upper right) will flash

I had to send my Edge in for an update, cost around a hundred dollars. They updated it and sent a new monitor with it, the Edge was installed on the truck when I bought the truck used.
I have never double tapped the monitor as "Nickg" did. I had no knowledge of it but sounds like it should be of help in trouble shooting. My truck is stock other than AFE intake, Sotuh Bend clutch, and an exhaust brake but it sure pulls everything I have and more.

Personally I would just to make sure you had all the updates. Their turn around is pretty fast but being the holiday season might be slower...
