Ok its me again, and I do not understand the BHAF. I got that it stands for but can it be as simple as adding a 50 dollar air filter versus a 300 dollar kit (AFE stage 2). Help

's prints for the heat guard work pretty well. I had to shave a little more out of the notch on the back for the AC line and the bolt holes had to be adjusted just a bit as well. Overall it looks great. You do need a short piece of 4" pipe to support the filter where the hose clamps down. I went without at first thinking it was strong enough, but it kept slipping loose.
Ok so just so I understand this corectly. I can go buy one of the BHAF that you all listed out and remove my air box and connect this, make a nice heat shield and have the same benifit as the kits? Also, are these filters cleanable also?

The outerware IMHO is a must to help keep any moisture out, I washed my motor one time and purposly hit the outerware a couple time to see how it would do, I pulled it off and the BHAF was dry, that is key where I live
