what would be the biggest injectors you would want to run with this setup? im trying to figure out what the benefits would be on my truck vs a single 62/68-14 or 62/65-14. would some 150's with modded cp3 be a decent setup with the stocker/s400 by wicked?
smoke what kind of turbo setup do you have? i think ill be going with some 120hp ddp nozzles... i dont plan on running any pressure as i want my injectors to last as long as possible.
I have Wicked Diesels (Motorsport Diesel) stocker/s474 along with some of his mafia 120's and also his Stage 3 cp3. I sent him my stock turbo and he did a little work on the wastegate to improve flow. I'm extreemly happy with the setup.
I have a 2 micron inline before my stock filter and also don't run any extra pressure either
lol so with 150's i shouldnt worry too much about egt's? i want the biggest injectors possible that will be streetable and keep egt's within limits! id like to go 150's if possbible!
I've already given in to the notion ill be needing a hell of a cp3 for some 150s. Ill be sending my pump in for wicked to do some of their magic on it. Also do u guys think the s400 is gonna be enough air with my stocker and 150s? Or should I look into a bigger Turbo to run with my stocker?
I personally would run a 62/400 with 150's but I don't think you will have any problems with the stocker if you have an external wastegate and set it up right
go big or go home! honestly i started with the idea of going with some 90's, arson III cp3 kit, and a 62/65-14 single, to where im at now with stock/s400 and some 150's and built cp3...
would i have any problems running say a 100-150hp nitrous setup?
im pretty stuck on getting 150's minimum. im gonna look into possibly going bigger than a s400... the main thing is i have a tight converter and want good low end drive-ability too.
Here's another thing to consider. With the Wicked Diesels stocker/s400 kit, if you decide later to swap out the stocker for a 62 or 64 or whatever , you can't just change the turbo....you have to change the piping too.
ya i didnt know that thanks for the heads up. wonder what all would need to be changed if i do that? i have no plans on upgrading the stocker though...
I am running the stock/s400..all i know about the 400 is that it has a 74mm compressor wheel. But I know it was worked by Ed so I am sure A/R is pretty close to 1.0.
I am also running flux 2s witha stage 3 pump. No problem with rail pressure and egts climb to about 1300 but stop once the big turbo lights.
Spool time is a little slow if you just romp on it from a stop, 0-10psi is a tad slower then stock, but 10-40psi is freaking fast spool.
Thanks AK. What kind of power are you putting down with the twins and flux 2s?I was hoping to maintain the fast spool up of stock. My new triple disk is setup pretty tight. Not sure how well that's gonna mix with slow spool up
Been looking at jkidd site and noticed he makes a twin piping kit like I'm wanting. It looks like his kit has options to use a 75mm s400 and a 72mm s400. I'm thinkinking the bigger Turbo would be a better match for 150's right?
not sure how much, but I know this setup is capable of 650, so i am hoping I am atleast 600hp...Once you get his piping, be prepared to do a little work on the piping. I would grind the welds smooth, then hit the piping with a flap disk. This will take anywhere from 1-3hrs but well worth it. THen I would install it and run it to make sure that none of the welds leak. Then coat or paint them once you are sure nothign leaks.
This is also a good idea cause when you are first putting them in, you may bumb them around and what not. Last thing you want to do is chip or scratch new paint or powder coat.
It's the size of the exhaust housing. It is the area of the snail over the radius of the snail. It is the other way of classifying the size. People will refer to housing size as 14cm^2 or 0.80 a/r. A 1.0 a/r on a S300 will totally be different than a S400.
if i person buys there peices seperate, s400, twin turbo piping, do you need a manifold to or will the stock one work?
