Banks variable geometry turbo?

I had DVRed extreme 4x4 over the weekend and watched it tonight and they were installing a Banks bundle on an 05 CTD. In the bundle they included a prototype variable geometry turbo that came with its own stand alone controller. I did a little research online and found that the Banks Dakota has a Holset HY 55 variable geometry turbo, i wonder if its the same thing.
Does anyone else have any info on this turbo and if or when it may be out and if its even worth waiting for?

My experience with VG turbos is from my last truck ('04 6.0), All I will say is I'm glad I have a fixed turbo now! I have read three or four posts from 6.7 owners that have had turbo issues already too.

Ditto i had a 05 6.0 Ferd and although I had good luck with mine I heard that alot of others have gone thru numerous turbos. The simpler the better.
