It wont. The PDA only replaces the usual remote. I think it still uses the same box under the hood, so no difference there

I have the banks tuner with the pda on my 06. My mechanic told me that the banks is pretty much the tst with a banks name on it. is this true and if so do I have anything to worry about?

Your mechanics a retard. Banks WISHES the 6 Gun was a relabeled TST. TST is WAY better than Banks. Many of the highest power trucks out there are running TST, none of them run Banks...

If you want mild power, run Banks. Its not a fail safe unit though, theres trucks that break using it just as anything can.

And that is a mechanic at the dealership. thought he was a little slow. needless to say he doesn't touch my truck anymore. Had him tell me that 240 degrees for the tranny is ok too!

tst v. banks

just to add something, my banks has so far caused no problem with my truck and saved my tranny when i had the stock TC. People dont like it but it gives me enough power to set the cruise control at 75 with a 12,000 lb. trailer behind it with minimal downshifts. does what i want it to do

I have also seen this first hand, a buddy of mine had a post 6/06 truck with a tst stacked on a ppe tune, melted 2 pistons at approx. 34k miles. Tons of clatter under heavy fuel, egt spikes, he was just too stupid to pull it before somethin bad happened, and it did!!!

Then he wanted me to buy his electronics to fund his rebuild, ha!

Got a steal on the nozzles and the tuner tho.....

I spoke with Mark two days ago and he told me that he used to build Banks' boxs and let him put his banks name on a tst like box. My boy has the older R49 and loves it, tho he didnt respect the power of the box-so he ran it bumbed up to 9-9 and blew 2 tranies..... Now he has a more built trani and runs 9-9 no problem. I was woundering about the PDA??? Anyone have that yet???? Im about to just order one and respect the box 3-3 (says mark) which will be safe on a stock auto. But wont be stock for long!
