Turbo or tuning problem?

I have recently added s369 1.0 turbo, 100% nozzles, and PPE dual kit, push rods, valve springs. Had my local diesel shop add the parts and EFI live tuned. Now my cruise and light throttle surges. My cruise is completely useless. And said my truck should be around 750hp mark. When buying all this I was aiming for 900-950 max effort?

Is boost surging? Is it gated? Is local shop a reputable tuner or a guy that bought a V2 and now he are a tuner?

Sounds like tuning to me.
I had something similar in one of the first set of tunes I was sent. Told my tuner about it and the next set of tunes was good to go.

I would have to go with the others and say its your tunes. EFI live should get most of the smoke out if tuned properly. Haze is a different story but a good tuner on a street tune should be low smoke at least after the turbo is lit. So I have to ask how quick can get boost out of that 69? I am running a 63 in compounds and while its not making real power its making boost by 1500 rpms I drug it down to 1400 RPMs in OD the other day and still had 3 PSI boost going up a hill.

I can be at 15psi by 1600rpm with my 369, I've got a .91 housing though.

My smoke blinds the road on all 5 tunes. And my turbo spools slower than stock but not enough to make me say I need twins. I don't even use o/d. When I tried overdrive and cruise I thought my truck was going to but me in the ditch from the surging lol

huh, my small tune produces about 360hp at the tires and drive pretty clean. Slight haze and will smoke if you get under the turbo and punch it but comes out of it quick. Certainly not stock spool but not bad at all.

That's pretty good. I have the .91 housing on my 63 as well, but I am still on stock air tunes with one CP3 and 75% overs tuned way down and my gate is rough set. I would like duel fuel before I buy new tunes and need gauges to tune the gate, but saving my money for an online business right now. I am also far smokeyer than I would like to be but I know why mine smokes! Drive it easy and all is well.

The idea of compounds is not faster spool its more air on higher RPMs. Spool on the bottom should not change much if at all.
