turbo lab exhaust housing

I tried to do a search but came up empty, does anyone have any experience with this upgrade? My biggest question with this housing being they do not say if it's still a 9cm housing or a 12. I am planning on using the he351 in a compound setup with a s475/83/1.1, just second guessing on going with a s300. any help is appreciated.

Looks to me like 9cm machined for the larger turbine. That's fairly common. You WILL have to use the 76/67 turbine wheel/ shaft to use that housing though. Stock 351CW is (I think) 65/58.

07 5.9, stock other then EFILive- but just until I win the lottery, THEN LOOKOUT!

so I talked to turbo lab today and it is still a 9cm housing with an hx40 turbine wheel, so my next question is combine it with some porting have I gained anything? there will be a gain in the ratio size between the turbine and compressor wheels.

I think so- but I'm guessing here. My only experience with this is a friend of mine got his rebuilt with the 351ve wheel and housing machined to match. It was mentioned to me on here by ah64id so I passed it along and he tried it. He can stay in the throttle a lot longer then I can with my stocker, but his is a DRW w 6 speed, mines 3/4 auto. Not a direct comparison. The 351ve wheel is 70/65 I think.
I didn't know the 76/67 was an HX40 wheel. More common was 76/64. The 76/64 wheel with your compressor would basically be a Super 40 with a quick spooling 9cm housing. THAT I can kind of wrap my head around. I wonder if the 76/67 might be a hair too big. I wonder if guys going with that big of wheel are upgrading the compressor at the same time.
I really don't know the first thing about twins. If you slow spool too much on your stocker, will it still match up with a 475 in a 1.1 housing? It's different when all you are doing is drilling out the wastegate- there no money involved. But this will cost you a bit. And the s300 has a hair bigger shaft to boot. I might lean towards a 360 or 362. But that's all just guessing on my part.

07 5.9, stock other then EFILive- but just until I win the lottery, THEN LOOKOUT!

So I took the time to measure my hx40 turbine wheel, and it came out at 76/64.

I'm probably wrong which one is on Al's truck then. It would likely measure what you guys found. It seems to have cooled it down a bit and if there's any difference in spool, it can't be much.

I really want to swap my wh1c turbine wheel for my he351ve wheel now on my hybrid to see what difference it makes. Based on my rudimentary testing it'll be a direct swap, and it actually felt slightly lighter than my h1c turbine, and shaft.

Seeing as how you chimed in, any of those options make sense being as how he's building compounds? I wondered if a 76/67 might be a little on the slow side when mixed with a primary that's 83/ 1.1. But I'm not versed in twins at all.
