Cheap/Free DIY mods??

So what all cheap and/or free mods that we can do to our CR's to get better fuel mileage, power, low end, top end, etc. Post up your experiences if you have them!

I know of the tone ring and the FCA mod, but that's about it. What's your experiences with either?


'99 dodge 4x4 NV4500, Super X VP, FASS 150, Custom Quick Spool Super B w/ ATS manifold, RV's, Smarty programming. north of 400 hp... Bout to add water/meth injection

silencer ring removal
torque tube mod
cat delete
adjustable boost elbow / boost fooler
lincoln locker

I know of a couple more, but they'd be pretty hard on parts.

2006 Mega 2500. EFI Live, XZII, HTS trans, Edge TC, GM govsol, ADII, QZ intake, Pusher, SL muffler, -cat, 35's on 18's, 4" lift, E.D. 62/68/12, 70hp tips.

called a Lincoln Locker because it's a locker you make w/ your Lincoln welder

Oh gotcha. Stupid term since it's more of a spool. Lockers unlock. Lol.

rail cap
high idle
diy cp3 mods
freeze plug block off plate
diy coolant bypass


... that should keep you busy for a while.


Oh yeah.... the "mp-9" -- you'll have to talk to erick brown about that one.
