Exhaust Manifolds? Stock or Aftermarket?

The 04.5 cummins i bought has a slight crack in the exhaust manifold. Is this that bad? will it effect it much at all?

When I go to replace, should i replace with stock or replace with aftermarket. I have looked at a few different ones, which ones do you suggest if i go aftermarket? Why?

Mods on the truck are "2" leveling kit, 5 inch stacks, zoom VRT clutch, Bullydog tripledog with crazy Larry, edge juice w/attitude (used for guages only) pusher intake, Fass 95 GPH,

my goals... maybe add some power, keep the MPG's up mainly not towing heavy loads or anything just like the cummins thats all.

depends how deep your pockets are, stock manifolds can be had for 40 plus shipping on the forum here, I think even a used aftermarket you'll be looking at 300-350 still

it will spool any turbo faster regardless of which one you go with and they will flow more, so that means your top end HP will be increased as well. You won't be using it's full potential however without porting the head and manifold to match which is a step few bother to take.

I installed a BD pulse flow exhaust manifold last Saturday.
The turbo spools a little faster and EGT's are down marginally also. I would say it's a worthwhile upgrade.
If you want a replacement '03 exhaust manifold cheap PM me, I have the stocker sitting in the shop.
