Smarty is best for fine tuning. Edge is best for gauges, safety backdowns, and change on the fly power. Bully Dog is best for.............? All three pack about the same power if you get the hot unlock for the Edge. Don't think about running a Smarty or a Hot Juice, or a Bully Dog at high power levels without gauges and tranny mods or you will be sorry at some point.

if you get the PMT I think it is probably better than the juice as far as guages go with the exception of the boost gauge, but it has a rp guage with i dont believe the edge does...

Bully dog is best for making tons o power!

What year is your truck Warren? (Fill in your signature so we know what you have)

If it's an 05 - 05 a BDTD with Crazy Larry will give you lots of power, (even though it's not the latest flavor of the day), gave me 443 HP on a Mustang Dyno.

Really though these kindsa threads always end up in a pissing match, everyone thinks what they have is the best.
You should do some clicking and some searches, you'll see what I mean.

Diepstra was right, gauges and maybe a free flowing muffler and intake would be good first steps.
Once you get started it snowballs, especially if you have an auto, if it's a stick you'll be needing a clutch. Then there's lift pumps etc etc.
It's fun but it's a slippery slope...

its a lot cheaper building a gas burner to whoop some on the streets. but like everyone said get the basics CAI, turbo back open exhaust, lift pump, cp3 bag of parts and build the tranny if you wanna see full potential power. Don't forget about TST R49 that's a good solid strong fueling box that's capable of 195hp with mods. I have the edge hot unlock/mp-8 and TNT smarty. I run the smarty sw9 24/7 and use the edge for gauges.

Click UserCP at the top, then at the top left click 'edit signature' and you're off.

Both the BDTD and the Smarty will really wake up your truck, I don't think the Edge would be in the same league, but be safe and do gauges first.

Intake, exhaust, gauges are a must anyway, then go get a SMARTY! I gained about 100 horsepower with the smarty over the bully dog on the TNT with a 64mm turbo. You just can't tune the bully dog for your truck and for your supporting like you can the smarty. On the fly is the only thing bully dog has over the smarty. Nuf said.
