exhaust muffler - installing which direction ?

Hi from Germany,

a question to the specialists:
I have a 4" Diamond Eye Exhaust.
Which is the correct installing direction of the muffler ?
Inside there a small dents, like this: 创创创创

Is it more louder, when I install it like this:

emissions --> muffler `````````` --> outside

or

emissions --> muffler 创创创创创--> outside

What would be better ?
More hp, better EGT ?

Thank you,
Oliver

I have a glasspack which has the same interior I believe. i installed it in a way with the least resistance and turbulence so:

emissions --> muffler `````````` --> outside

sorry about the slow reply, I lost the link to this thread, anyway it will not affect EGTs very much its more for sound it wont even affect flow very much either. if one way to test it would be to just clamp on the muffler in both directions and drive around each time inorder to find the sound you like, then weld it on after youve found what youre looking for.

yes, it only changes the sound. no real performance gain or loss.

Now, I have installed the muffler in this way:

emissions --> muffler `````````` --> outside

And I think, it's more quiet.
Do you have the same experience ??

I didnt try my different ways I just put it on for the least restrictive flow and called it good

You mean this way:
emissions --> muffler `````````` --> outside

Although the flow has a easier way to come out ?
