Yes, the workhorse, or even the older model Brute Force will work on the 07 5.9

I have the Brute Force system in mine, and love it. Of course i have a huge Amsoil filter on it now, but the BF kit is a great value in its original form.

The Workhorse is 4" and the Brute Force is 3" tubing. You will get more air flow with the Workhorse. But i like my Brute Force with the straighter bends in it. The Workhorse has a couple of 90s. The Brute Force has at the most i think 45s. But the numbers show the Workhorse does give a little more of a power add. I dont have the stats but im sure you can get them off the net if not someone on here. Either way i dont think you can go wrong with any of AEM's products. Personally im a fan.:thumbsup

The Brute Force is also 4" tubing, that is why it is fitted with a 4" filter and is also why the Amsoil 4091 fits. The biggest difference between the two systems is the filter size and the Workhorse has the corrected filter minder placement.

One of the biggest complaints with the BF is that on a WOT run it will suck the filter minder down, and a lot of guys thought it was because of a restrictive filter, but it is more because of the placement of the minder on the tube. Trust me, the Amsoil 4091 is a huge filter, much bigger than the stock AEM filter, and the minder still pulls down. I am absolutely sure my truck is getting more than enough air. The BF is a great system for the money, and if you need or want a bigger filter you can get one.

I'd save a little money and go with the Brute Force. It is a great system and it really brings out the turbo whistle.

I have the workhorse, and love it. As far as the filter minder goes, there is a guy on another site that ran a quick blast down the road without the filter in , and the filter minder still sucked down.

aem has redesigned the intake tube so the filter minder will now give you an accurate reading. the older models were falsely pulling the bulb down. There is the brute force and now whats called the Brute force hd. the HD's have 4" intake tubes, a larger filter and 1" pleats.

Just installed the AEM Brute Force HD last night. test drove truck, turbo sounded good, not overly loud with silencer ring, Im happy with sound leaving ring in. Vender was out so kit sent directly from factory. Opened hood this morning and filter minder was pulled down. lol Oh well...... Im happy with it, looksand sounds nice

what an excuse, all air filters and torque tubes have a lot of air going thru them. not sure which you have but sounds like they all do it. im not going to worry about it as it is as easy to inspect the filter as the minder. i now have removed silencer and really love the sound
