How do I get black smoke??

I DO NOT want to but a chip or programer or anything, because all of you guys on here with your horror stories scared me away from my Edge Juice W/A. I also dont want to put in a smoke switch , as I have heard that they only work half of the time on the newer trcuks. Is there ANY other way I can get some black smokek out of tail pipe?

First no idea how many replies you're gonna get in the wrong forum but for your question, without a programmer the only ways are

1. Plastic bag over the intake
2. Unplug map sensor

Don't go by the horror stories though, these are a few people compared to all the customers. People don't go to forums to tell the good, they come asking for help with problems.

nah, but really...how many more questions like this? most boxes arent bad, people just f w/ them or drive the piss out of their truck that isnt ready to handle level 10,000....do your research and youll see that boxes arent the devil and that black smoke pouring out every two seconds isnt cool...ask the guys at the TS event what they think about that...

if you want black smoke without a programmer your gonna have a horrer story right there. Your probably better off getting a programmer just to blow smoke. And thats where i recommend a Edge juice/attitude or Quadzilla Adrenaline and stack it with a smarty and some injectors. Then youll have some serious SMOKE and EGT's.

If the sole purpose of having a diesel is to see smoke, you do not need one. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing smoke. There is just a time and place to do it in a mature manner. Wonder why the EPA is cracking down on us so hard?

there is a search function. i mean not to be a head but really...
i make enough smoke to block out trafic. you can gladly have some of mine! smoke is unburned fuel and also comes with higher EGT's in most cases. and thats no dice.

Black smoke is just wasted fuel, I would build the truck for power if I were you, the black smoke will come with it.

Why settle with black smoke if it's all about the look? Light one of these and shove it in the tailpipe.
