Programmer for high mileage

Just bought a 06 5.9. Installed brand new cp3. 6 brand new injectors and a fass 150. Truck runs great and has 285k miles. Want a chip for possibly better mpgs and power. Right now I'm getting around 16 with 5inch lift and 20x12 wheels with 35s. I guess I'm asking is a chip is too much with a truck with this type of mileage.
And what chips you guys running and mpgs power differences are you seeing. I was used to my ext cab ford having a lot more power down low then this.

EFI Live. 16 with 35's and the lift is doing pretty good already. But you could probably nudge that up with EFI. Any of the rest of the programmers are unlikely to gain you much if anything.

I gained zero MPG's with EFI, but the power increase was amazing.

Lose the lift and go with stock tires if you want to gain 2 - 3 MPG, otherwise, it is what it is...

I put a edge on my truck and was getting 18 19 ish city and 22 highway I set the edge to tow and now i get around 22 23 city and 27 28 highway all day love it!

That sounds suspiciously like lie-o-meter numbers. Are you referencing your 98.5?

No I have a 05 but I have not had a chance to change my signature and like I said it's rough math at the pump edge and lie o meter

Sounds like real rough math. A 3500 drw is not going to get 25-27mpg. Is it 2wd at least? Then at least those numbers are somewhat believable.

180 miles a week for 30 to 34 dollars and it's 120 highway and 60 city every Friday I fill up

#12 ·
Around 25 to 30 if I drive city and don't put it on hot

#13 ·
$30-34 is how many gallons in your area... And you didn't say if it was a 2wd...

#14 ·
It's 4wd and it's 3.89 a gallon when I filled up last friday

Lets shore up the math a bit. $30-34/3.89=7.71-8.74

180/8.74=20.6mpg
180/7.71=23.4mpg

Stellar numbers. Yet not 25-30... Sorry for being anal. It just annoys me when I see outrageous mileage claims.
