Yet another AC Problem

My 2007 Cummins AC has froze up several times over the past few weeks. As it thaws, a tremondus amount of water comes out of the AC drain.

On our way to the beach this weekend, it completely quit cooling. The compressor doesn't run at all now. Although I don't know if it was a factor... We had been running 90+mph with traffic when it quit.

I stopped in at a quicky repair place here in Destin, FL. They are saying that the compressor clutch coil is bad but as far as I can tell they have not checked it directly.

The only thing that they seem to know is what a machine tells them and completely discounted the regular freezeups recently.

I am wondering about lo freon and am probably going to try the recommended AutoZone kit but thought that I would see what you folks have to say about it.

I am also going to try to check the AC clutch coil but the compressor appears to be well buried under the right front fender well.

Thanks,
Kevin
