Scrazy, I had seen that first install....the one with the metal plenium and the blue hose.....toooo damn late. I might've tried that system.

Yes, a BHAF will work on an 05, that was my first mod :thumbsup
I use an AFE torque tube, and made my own elbow for the air meter to fit in, and my filter is a 10" round 12" tall filter from napa (cant recall part #) and it fits without any battery tray modification.
I need to get some pics of stuff like this :-)

I used a 4''pvc coupler, drilled a 1/2'' hole in the center for the IAT sensor and done.

Here is some pics of my BHAF on the truck in my sig





I just wire-tied my IAT sensor because I did not want to drill holes in the PVC for fears of an air leak.



My BHAF does not touch the battery box but I put a piece of foam on the edge of the battery box just in case it does rub it wont do any damage to the filter
