Reasons NOT to buy a fancy-shmancy Stereo system...
So, I attended a reception and got a room a the hotel for the night...
Came out to a truck with a pryed lock and multiple item gone.
Missing: Radio, AMP, tools... But they left the SBC box (1 3/8 input shaft), and my numerous shifter parts
What can I say, I am questioning buying a fancy stereo again. It is clear the thieves only wanted the stereo stuff, and I dont think music is worth putting the truck at risk of being broke into again...
I hope some one finds them and Kicks the beepbeepbeepbeep out of them for doing that, better yet just shoot them... i hate theves, let them burn is hell
My room mate's truck (Ford Ranger) got broken into twice and tools were stolen (he does hvac) both times since he moved in with me, and the weird part is that my BRAND NEW truck is parked right next to his and was untouched! Funny how stupid thieves are.

Thieves like tools it seems...........easy to pawn I guess. They broke into my truck almost 4 years ago. Tried to steal my CB but couldn't get it loose as it was a solid soddered wire to the battery. Yanked and yanked on it and pulled alot of wiring loose (as it was loomed together with the wires for my aux. lights). Alls they had to do is take the pair of wire cutters in the tray behind the seat they stole and cut the power wires to the CB. They just didn't steal my tools they took the whole tray.
I hate when that crap happens. When I did my stereo I left the factory head unit in. Sounds fine to me, and if looking at in my truck you would never know it a system in it. When I bought it the guy told me my stereo would sound awful if I didn't buy a aftermarket head unit......I said "I don't want to advertise that I have one, I just want a little better sound than stock".
Sorry again to hear of what some idiot did.....

I hear you guys...I got lucky this week. Someone tried to break into my house.
I have a man door in the back of my garage, they kicked it hard enough that the frame itself came out of the wall about 4"! I didn't want to do it, but I put a 2x4 across the door so they can't get in.
Funny thing is 3 feet away was a double glass door. Even funnier yet...with one hand and a credit card I can be in that same door in less that 5 seconds.
Luckily in my case, they kicked the door 3 times, and either got scared by my Dog or a friend of mine who was dropping some stuff off. Unfortunatly no one saw who did it.
I was hoping who ever did it would come back when I was home....They could run, but they'd only die tired!
I got lucky enough one night that they set off the pre alarm and thought I didn't hear it. They left and came back about 1 hour later. I was still up waiting with the front door unlocked. As soon as he went to break the window, I was out of the front door!! He ran about a block before I caught up with him. :THREAT:
Funny thing was, it was about 30 degrees out, and I was in shorts and standing bare-foot in about 2 inches of snow when the cops got there. I am glad I didn't beat the crap out of him too bad, because when the cops got there he finally told them who he was and how old!! He was only 14!! He didn't admit to where the bloody nose and road rash on the face came from..but he admitted to about 13 other break ins that night. What was worse, it was a kid down the street, and when I knocked on his parents door at 3 am they were pissed. I hate to see what happened after everyone left them alone. Anyway, that sucks...I had it happen once before I put an alarm on the truck. Sorry to hear man!!

While I don't think someone would try to break into my '94, I still got an alarm on it - mainly I wanted a new keyless entry as the the factory one gave out.
The house came with an alarm and I'm glad it has one being I'm the head disciplinarian in a high school. They've smashed my office window twice over four years, but luckily they haven't ventured the half hour away to my house.
