Is there a way to add a jack or connector for an Ipod to the RDS infinity 6 disk system. How about adding the Serious Sat system. Is there a Factory head unit that has these that will plug into an 03 with steering wheel cont? Without going aftermarket head unit, what can be done to upgrade the 03 infinity?
I just bought an adapter for my 06. Got the data from the above website and found the exact same adapter on eBay for $20 less. Recommend doing the same, you may save some bucks.
What "data" are you referring to? I tried and the cheaped I found on ebay was $79
By data I mean info on what it comes with, a bit of how it hooks up and works etc. I paid $74.90 on eBay for mine last week and it was shipped free. Got it on Saturday. Gonna install it today.
I took a look on eBay for the 02-05 set up in the link above and they were mostly all the same price a $125 but I didn't look to hard for cheaper ones.
Basically this thing is a jumper that will attach to the factory plugs with pigtails that allow you to hook up your ipod. The unit for the 06 that I got has an ipod hook up and set of RCA jacks so I can run sound only from a DVD player thru my sterio. It unlocke the VES (Vehicle Entertainment System) mode on the radio. I just got done installing mine and I think I got a funny side effect, my satelite radio works now and I don't subscribe to it. We'll see how long that lasts.
so ur saying that with that wiring harness in the above post that all u have 2 do i buy a 06 or new radio and use that wiring harness and it should slide rite in with no wire spicing

They're RCA inputs. One red, one white. They're for whatever you want input to the radio in addition to an ipod hook up.

No, the one in the link above is for 2002 to 2005 trucks. I looked it up on account of the OP wanting info on the subject. You have to read the specs on it to see if it will work with your radio because it won't work with all 02-05 radio models.
I have an 06 so I had to get a slightly different one but it does the same thing.

Right, I got that, I was curious if the unit has out puts for an amp or if there is another way to get out put to an amp without using the high level input on the amp.
