Was just into the local dealer today where I have a good friend who's a diesel tech there. He said that Dodge just came out with a new steering box for our trucks. He said it's double the size and everything is X2 beefed up! (Pitman arm, inner tie rod end, etc) He said it's not a recall for our trucks, but something he personally plans to install on his. He said that the truck he just put one on instantly felt a lot tighter in the front end and stronger overall.
Anyone else heard of this yet? Just wanted to pass on the info...

I have one on my truck, sadly I haven't driven it yet since the injectors are out right now but I should have the truck back within a week. It was installed last week, but I had the box back ordered with my name on it for at least 6 months. Your description is about what I was told about it.
OK...my bad...to clarify, the part numbers I posted are for the updated 6.7 CTD PS pump kit, NOT the steering box.
I am NOT sure if you need to replace the pump as well to update to the new steering box that the op talked about. However, the numbers I gave ARE for the updated 6.7 PS pump kit which purportedly solves the ills of the many failing 5.9 CTD PS pumps.
On EDIT---post #6 above now DOES includes mopar part# for upgrade steering box.
