REDHEAD! I'll never use another OEM gear in ANY truck I buy.

It is the new larger steering box that is on the newer trucks. I had mine replaced last week under warranty. Definitely bigger and steering is like new again. As far as the pump, I was told that might get replaced as well when they get some, my dealer is looking into it for me.

Is this a better upgrade than the '08 steering upgrade to the T style, or in addition to it?

I do not have a part#, but I think it started with the 09 trucks. The steering box is separate from the 08+ steering upgrade parts.

An important note for those with an aftermarket steering box support brace, (like the BD or Defiant or any other), you WILL need a new bearing and nut to make the new box work with the brace!! So far NO numbers or sizes on making that work, but me thinks it would not be too difficult to source with box and brace in hand.

Kinda true. I have a PSC brace and all I needed was the larger sector shaft bolt, but I did have to elongate the frame mounting holes on the brace because the new box moved the sector shaft over about 1/4" and wouldn't line up with the bearing. The bearing stayed the same size though. All's back on now though and feels good

Is this pitman arm different than the 08 upgrade one. I am close to buying the upgrade and might as well do everything while I'm in there. Price?

Red head has not been doing well lately. BAd service and parts lately....they have been failing in a lot of trucks lately. Borgeson is basically the new upgraded box u guys are talking about i think with there name on it. Its a Delphi gear box..
