Grand cherokee seats?

OK, so as far as I know... dodge/chrysler/jeep are all the same company still, right?

I know it's a snowballs chance in hell, but those seats in the 2012 jeep grand cherokee SURE DO LOOK NICE... does anyone know if they might fit?? they may all have the same seat tracks?

thanks for at least letting me entertain the idea...

Take a trip to your local dealer with your tape measure, that way you can know for sure before spending your money. And yes, they are sweet seats, and comfortable too (a buddy of mine has a new Grand Cherokee).

not sure if they are a direct fit, but either way it wouldn't be too hard to re-mount the jeep seats on your seat rails. just a thought.

usually, the seat is just bolted to the seat rails which are then bolted to the floor, so you'd unbolt your rails from the floor and your seats, unbolt the rails from the jeep seats and then from there you'd have to figure out where exactly you'd want your rails to go on the new seats. After that you just have to figure out a way to mount them. If you could, the easiest way would be to drill some new holes, tap them, and then the rails would just bolt right up to the jeep seats. Not very hard at all

Wouldn't the width of the Grand Cherokee seats be a good bit less than the seats of a truck? I guess the front seats wouldn't matter much if you have captain's chairs and a center console, but I would think the back seats in a Grand Cherokee would be 5-10 inches skinnier than seats in a 2500/3500

Ya, the back seats probably wouldn't fit, but I'm only interested in the front lol. I was just guessing that the new Cherokee and the durango were probably the same platform and might even bolt up to a ram... Total long shot, but it'd be nice!

The real issue here would be in finding a totaled GC to get the seats out of. I guarantee you that if you go to the Dodge dealer to price new seats you will be looking at several thousand dollars.
They are nice seats. I actually entertained trading the Wife's T&C for one of these just because of those seats. I'm sure that, like everything else made by Chrysler, the fuel mileage sucks in that thing though....
