I just ordered the overhead console. What do you all do with that wire/cable that connects to the mirror?

The gauge mount has a groove in it that the mirror cable goes into.

I went to Home Depot and got a T-strap for the pod. I made several test fits to get the bends right in the strap. I removed the overhead console (two screws inside the dome lights) and mounted the T portion of the strap using two screws. Gauges fits snug against the headliner with no problem......

Here is the link I used to install my overhead gauges:
