How Mad Should I Be?

So i went to the dealership a month or so ago to have them look at my AC (blowing cold on driver, but hot on passenger). they put in some dye and could not locate the leak. so they charged me for...

which was ok for a diagnostic and a recharge of r134a. I was to run it until it messed up again and then bring it back for them to locate the leak with the dye in the system.

Well the system ran ok up until last week, so i took it back up there today for them to locate it. The service advisor called and said it was a leak near the accumulator and that they would replace it and then recharge the system. when I got the bill by jaw dropped...

How come the labor was so much more than the previous service? It went from $32.63/hr to $78.40/hr. Not too sure what to think, pretty pissed about it since it was a easy fix (accumulator replacement).

Should have bought all new equipment to do the repair myself, would have come out cheaper.

Im a little confused on this one???? why would they be adding R134 instead of checking for a blend door problem?

I agree with mclow. Go in with one problem and they "find" another. I would have researched the problem a little more before taking it to the dealer. The dealer told me $400 to replace the compressor and recharge the system back in February. I put it off a month and went back in to get it done before the summer heat and the price jumped to $800. I had the original quote with the $400 price and the service manager said quotes are only good for 30 days. What a load of crap. I started researching on here and learned about the coil going bad on the 06-07's. Spent $40 on a Sunair coil and did the swap myself. Cold air all summer long.

What was the total bill?
