Engine defueling at WOT

I just put a new intake on my 2006 ctd and now when I floor it, it goes for about 2 seconds then around 25-30 mph it bogs out. My rail pressure gage shows that it drops to around 5000psi while still floored when this happens.

When i put my new intake on I did mess around just a little bit with no intake hearing the turbo. I did one burnout in the parking lot and revved it twice then put the new intake on. I was thinking it could be the map sensor or maybe the intake air temp sensor because those are the only two things that were essentially messed with. Am I right to think that? What do could be wrong? I hope its not a fuel system issue.

I just need some informed opinions thanks!!

Mine kinda does the same. I just noticed it today. I hit 3rd gear and she took off like a bullet, hit 4th, and not much of anything. Hit 5th and she pulled like a train.

I tried it once more on the way home and it did the same. Then I tried a different technique. I slowed down from 5th, into 4th, and slowed until I was around 1200RPM...then I hit the throttle and it pulled fine...?

yeah that is similar. I havent gotten a chance to try different techniques, but mine pulled just fine once I was in 3rd gear and up. Im pretty positive its not a trans problem though. Im hoping its a simple sensor, thatd be relatively cheap

Didn't catch any wires underneath the edge of the intake horn or the intake plate did ya? I did when I changed to the Banks Monster ram, it grounded out the map sensor and the Edge programer wouldn't fuel. Chevokeeman.

I didnt put in an intake manifold just a cold air intake, but that sounds like the same problem. Ill check the wiring. I already unplugged and cleaned the map sensor but that didnt change anything

have you pulled any codes out of the truck ? If either of those sensors were a problem, you'd likely have a code or at least a CEL lite.
I don't see a fuel pump in your sig. Are you sure you're getting good psi at the CP3 ? At WOT without the speed limiter turned off in the Smarty, the truck will defuel at around 98 to 110mph. This doesn't sound like your problem though.

yeah I pulled the codes I had map sensor low voltage and intake air temp sensor high voltage. I cleared those and they havent come back. but my problem is still there. Im going to swap map sensors with my buddy this weekend to see if thats the problem. And I dont have the low fuel pressure sensor so I dont know what the pressure at the cp3 is
