I just had a LAMP OUT light come on under my trip meter it came on sporadically at first which made me think it was a loose wire but now it stays on constantly all of my lights work I've check them numerous times none of the fuses are blown. Has anyone else had this problem or know of any ideas how to fix it. My truck is a 2003 2500 Thanks for any info.
I had this same problem when i first got my truck. All my lights worked, all bulbs were lighting. It ended up being my right tail light circuit board that the tail, brake and reverse lamps plug into inside the lens itself. It costed me about $20 through LMC. I actually have a brand new one if you end up needing it.

Not exactly sure how to test it. I had the dealer do the diagnosis, then I bought the parts and fixed it myself. The way they explained it to me was: the faulty circuit board was not drawing the same amps as the other side, but still allowed all the bulbs to work. This caused the $@!?! Lamp out to come on. I guess you could try using a multi meter and comparing voltage at each side. As to what its supposed to read, I am not sure.

My truck did this exact same thing a month ago, ended up that water got into the electric part where the bulb plugs in and got rusty. Put in a new bulb, cleaned the metal area where the bulb sits and problem was solved. Was the passenger rear light.
