Alright I have a question. Has anyone put crossover steering on your truck? I have been looking to do it on mine but its hard to find a kit. I was looking at the ballistic fabrication one. Or just making my own. Has anyone made there own? If so about how much did all the parts run you? Thanks guys.

THUREN FABRICATION, most setup like this require a wheel with less back spacing, or largewr diameter..... a stock 17 wont work due to the size of the heims.

Ya I was looking at that one but it is to pricy for me. I was thinking about just making it myself. It would be a heck of a lot cheaper and it wouldnt be that hard.

It might. How big of wheels spacers? Doesnt your rig have twentys on it?

yes, i am currently running 20x9 wheels w/35x12.5-20 Nitto's.
i was just wondering about using wheel spacers and the stock 17" wheels. thinking about if i ever wanted to run tires on the lighter stock wheels if a 1" or 1.5" spacer could be used to clear the Heim joints on the X-over steering.
I see. Ya I dont know if they will clear. I am building my own x over now. Once its done I will have a better shot at seeing if that would work. My parts are on order so hopefully it will be done soon.

Wouldn't the 08.5 upgrade meet your needs? Works great on mine with Carli low mount 7100

Ya I herd that upgrade is good to do. But a x over would be better. And the x over would be a lot cheaper to make. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for the new steering upgrade?

$241+ $17 for shipping for the Kit (moparonline)
$9 for three nuts I didn't need (local dealer/Rapist)
$180 for the Carli low mount (very impressive piece)(8-Lug Truck)
I have a lift with a dropped pitman so I didn't need the new style.

i would be VERY leary about building your own steering......i know i dont know your back ground, but if i knew you fabbed your own steering... i would not want to be the person driving in your direction. just saying, the price you pay is for more than just the parts and some time welding it up.
