Finally hooked up the trailer to the 7-pin and viola ... darkness. Only the left turn/brake light works. No tail lights, marker lights, etc (hopefully I don't have an issue when i finally put a brake controller in ... but one issue at a time)
I found a couple blown fuses. Replaced them, no dice. Will a modulate fix the issues I'm having? I've read that it will fix the turn signals and such but what about the tail lights and marker lights?

Prior to hooking up my trailer, I had read (on this form - towing section, I think) about the issues with trailer lights. They indicated that the Dodge was designed with basically NO additional light capacity other than what was on the truck! Good thinking? Anyhow, I bought a modulite, installed it and have had no light issues. My trailers have quite a few lights and it all works well. I added large backup/cargo/hookup lights to the truck bed and used the modulite to activate a seperate relay for those. Good luck!

Jay - so your modulite operates all of the trailers lights correct? Not just some? Just want to make sure that Im getting the right thing to fix the whole problem. Also what model did you pick up?

If your tail lights work, then the modulite will work for your trailer lights...

No tail lights. Just the left turn/brake. Nothing else

Just looked at the install instructions. They do all of the lights on the trailer so that question is answered. However they only show a flat 4 pin in the instructions. What has everyone else done? Just cut the 4 pin off and run the wires into the 7 pin? Seems logical, just curious what other have done to attach one of these to their 7 pin.

Run the wires from the modulite to the corresponding pin on the 7 pin trailer plug and your "good to go"! Basically, truck wiring harness leads into Modulite, out of Modulite to trailer connector. "Boosting the signal" so to speak. Good luck!
