HID Kit question

I ordered a kit from v-leds.com and it never worked right. I installed the main harness on the drivers side and the auxiliary harness on the passenger side. then i swapped the black and white wires on the auxiliary harness. still only HI beams worked and low beams flickered, along with a "Lampout" on my dash. i heard someone say before there is a HID kit for our trucks that is a HID low beam, halogen high beam. and this doesnt require any relays. i was wondering if anyone could tell me where to order this kit. i will be sending the v-leds kit back for a refund

So you have a bixenon kit? hid low beam and hid high beam? IF so you need to add resistors.

You are correct the most trouble free kit is the hid lowbeam halogen high kit but you still need cap pacs with that kit. Either buy those on ebay or a local hid shop. Also Hid extra . com sells them with the hid kit and its plug in play.

If you need the resistors either look at my stick how to at the top or buy them from the link in my thread. Hope that helps.

the kit i bought had resistors and all. it was a ram specific kit. im guessing a bad relay. i just want to know if its true that u can have a low beam HID and high beam halogen that doesnt require resistors

check out hid extra.com when buying the kit just ask to include the cap packs in the note field. Or look up the kit by vehicle and they will include it. I've installed a hand full of these kits on our trucks and never had to do anything more than just plug everything up. Not to mention a local hid shop that i deal with uses the something. not the same kit but the cap packs.

Sounds like you have a bad hid kit IMO. If you want a bixenon kit PnP then buy from Retro solutions $$$
