my Dodge has a Ford steering box is that right

Had trouble after a trip 06 2500 4x4 would not turn left traced it to the steeriing box when i noticed a ford symbol on my steering box it made me scratch my head

A little info might be helpful. Did you buy the truck new or used? Has it had any repairs on the steering? I don't think it should be a ford box under there unless someone retrofitted one or something.

You don't remember FORD buying Cummins a couple of years ago.

you will probably find that steering boxes are used across brands, kinda like axles. you could get dana 60s in fords, dodges, and chevys. I think steering boxes are the same way
