Park brake

Mine doesn't hold the truck. I can put it to the floor and it won't hold very well. I see there is an adjustment on the RR and the cable. What is the proper adjustment on these?

I don't know the technical answer, but I would adjust it a little at a time. Get it to where the pedal feels like it has enough resistance and the truck doesn't move.

I'm wondering about the adjuster only on one side, seems odd. I know some disk brakes have a small drum set up in the rotor and this appears to be that type but what is odd is an adjuster just on one side. I'd like to be able to do this without jacking it up and possibly taking it apart. I adjusted the adjuster some and a little on the cable and the improvement was not much.

Last time i changed the shoes ( inside part of rotor) there was an adjuster for both sides , then there is the adjuster for the cables. Id start by making sure the cables aren't seized , ive gone through 2 complete sets of aftermarket cables , went back to original mopar cables (life time warranty) and havent had one seize yet , gotta have park brake for a standard !

My cables are good, if there is an adjuster on both sides I can't tell from the outside. The right has a little rubber plug down low and nothing on the left.

The plug is on the top on the other side and is a pain to see. You will need to jack up the truck, adjust the shoes as tight as you can go without hearing them rub, then just to make sure, manually activate the lever at the axle and feel that you have a good 1/4" of travel. Once that is set up, adjust your park brake cable so that it is taught, but not really pulling on the levers at the wheels. Worked for me. If it still doesnt hold, pull the discs off and check the little shoes for contamination.

Ya I figured it out a day before instructions were posted here. I had to use a short skinny screwdriver to adjust them, my adjuster tool was too big.
