Control Arm Bolts stuck! Trying to get lift on...

I'm trying to get a Skyjacker 4.5" lift on my truck. I had to back out because I couldn't for the life of me get the lower control arm bolts loose. I tried heat and hammering but nothing works. They are seized in the bushings.

My next option is to use an air chisel and just cut the heads off I guess. Does anyone know where I can find the size of the stock bolts? I have a local store that sells heavy grade bolts in all sizes and would most likely have them.

Thanks!

Curtis

I had to use a sawzall, on just one of my truck's control arm bolts

The passenger side lower control arm bolt, on the axle end......completely siezed

After cutting it off, I had to heat it up and pound it out with a large hammer and a large punch

They are also cam bolts, which only the dealer sells......about $25 for the cam bolt and cam washer

Lower one on the pass side is also the one I started with. I just assumed all the others would be the same.

I had to cut both lower ones with the rip saw. I got new ones from the dealer . Like everything else on the truck that has been siezed up I put it back on with antisieze.

Generally it is just the lowers that seize in. In most cases you need to sawzall the bolts out on both sides of the bushings and get new ones from Dodge. The other bolts don't see as much corrosion so they usually come apart alot easier.
