Check out your local stereo shops. A few of the alarms out nowadays have the remote start feature and some include a cool down timer. Cost is somewhere around $300+ install. I had one on my Ford PSD and loved it!:thumbsup

To have he same unit installed im the 07 dodge is around $800 thanks to the Daimler/ Chrysler wiring. What a crock

All of the places that I have check into around my place all want me to sign a waiver because they have to install some sort of clutch bypass to allow the truck to start with out the clutch being pressed in. With the alarm they wanted between $350 - $500. Little on the expensive side if you ask me.

Definitly do that....I dont have a six speed but I ended up getting the remote start from a Best Buy (viper alarm) at employee price (my brother worked there) for about $175, and took it to a little hole in the wall stereo shop and had it installed for $150...look around and hopefully you'll find something...

It's a pain in the to install the remote start on the 6-speed, but it can be done.... Just have to becareful cause you don't want your truck to drive through your garage if you accidentally leave it in gear.

yeah thats why none of the shops here say it cant be done. i know it can be done, but nobody around here will do it. im guna try callin around in kansas city and wia maybe a few bigger places will do it. theres not much down here in south east kansas.

i had it on my last truck but it was an automatic..i absolutely loved it. its really handy in the winter.

I'm a HUGE fan of having a remote start.....Unfortunately, with this 6-speed, even my local installer HIGHLY recommends against doing it. (Even on the side) I had it on my last truck, which was an auto....It was the greatest thing next to sliced bread (If you hate winter)

I know that if my truck is parked in front of my garage door, or even the house.....and somehow, someway, it's in gear and that remote start gets triggered....It's gonna drive through my house.....I'm not a big fan of my own truck driving through my own house... I'm sticking with the "Run outside.....Start truck.....Run back Inside"

Alright well i recently got that remote start put on my truck. It works great. The sequence is a lil hard to get used to but it ensures you wont leave it in gear. you have to be sitting in the truck while running, in neutral with the brake set, hit the unlock button, the lights blink 4 times and then you shut the key off and pull it out...but the truck stays running. and then when you get out and hit the lock button it will kill it and its now ready to start with the remote. LIke i said its a strange sequence but it works good.

i installed a remote start on my little 5spd sports car and i noticed that installing a turbo timer as well worked out perfectly not only was it added safety for my turbo but since the car stayed running for minute after i parked it i had to leave it in neutral so in the morning i always knew it was neutral when i hit the button to start it up

What about a remote start for an auto with one (only 1) of those sentry keys?
