What does it take to increase my lift kit from what I have?
I have the fabtech 4.5 lift with those fancy external oil reservoir shocks, 4 up front and 2 in rear. The coils have a large limiting strap inside them where most peoples shocks are. mine are on a shock hoop outside the coil. In the rear I do not see a large block under the leafs. I do have airbags for loads, not sure if that has anything to do with lift in rear. I was wondering what would have to be done to get their 6" lift from my 4.5"? Just curious, not sure if I would do it, but want to see what is involved. Thanks

if you just add a 2" spacer in the front it will pull the axle back slightly without new control arms, I would call and see what the difference between the 4.5 control arms an 6" control arms are in length. If there is no difference, then just pop a 2 " puck on the coil spring

i would say u'll need longer controls arm's, get a set of adj ones and add blocks to the rear or new leafs, longer sway bar end links prob also and trac bar drop down bracket.....

i just did what yall are talking bout this last weekend the only things you will need is lifted sway bar links i used suspension maxx cheap and great quality, longer link arms whick i got from top gun customz pretty cheap and theyll make them to any link you specify i had the 4.5 fabteck and stacked a daystar 2" coil spacer and they made me 7" link arms they were pretty quick about getting them to me as well, ull need longer shocks i went with bilsteins made a huge diffrence vs the febtech, but now i have a poping in the front end some where cant figure it out sounds like the springs are bottoming out but i know thats not the case, o and even though i had the longer sway bar links and the drop braket for the sway bar from the 4.5" kit i still had an issue with the sway bar being to far back and rideing on the coil springs so i modified the sway bar drop bracket i just welded a piece of flat steel 1/4" thick and drilled some hole took care of the problem
