Thumping noise when braking

I've read a lot of posts before finally posting this. I know our front end hardware isn't the greatest. This weekend I had new front brake pads (Mopar) put on and had my rotors ground. A local shop where I got my tires did the work. When I drove home I noticed something odd. During harder braking, like when coming to a complete stop, I would get a thump-thump-thump noise and feel all the way up until the truck was stopped. No noise or feeling while driving, just stopping. Had the shop look it over today and nothing looked odd. A shop buddy suggested that they may have messed up my ABS system by opening up the caliper too quickly and jamming fluid up in the wrong direction. Any suggestions from the knowledgeable folks out there? Thank you.

I guess I'll be putting the front end up on jackstands after work tomorrow and check if everything is tight.
