Tail Light Help

I am purchasing a new bed for my truck and it is off a 2009. Mine is a 2006. I understand that the wiring for the lights are different and that te 2006 lights use a 3 bulb sustem and the 2007-2009 uses a 2 bulb. I have done searches on here, DTR and TDR and have not seen what you have to do to use the newer style lights on the older truck?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It'd be similar to putting earlier model lights on a 2007 or vice versa, there's been a lot discussed about it. You'll need the light connectors from the other truck and do some wiring to put it all together, but it can be done I'm sure.

But, don't think the body lines of the 2009 bed will match your 2006? Maybe I'm thinking 2010.

Post your question in the 3G Ram Interior/Exterior Talk forum at Dodge Talk, somebody there will have the answer. I've found more answers at Dodge Talk for my 03 2500 than anywhere else.
