I'm also having an issue with Retro-Soln kit. I read alot of good stuff, but I'm not real happy with the customer service. I called, emailed, no reply.
I have their kit on a 2010 and am getting flickering on high beams, but its only the driver side builb that flickers. This kit came with two resistors. I'll check my grounds today, but is there anything else I need to look at?
Great thread BTW. Wish I had saved a few bucks and did it myself. Their plug and play harness was kinda a pain in the trying to get it all situated so that one side would plug in and the other would too. It would have been easier/cleaner to wire it all from scratch.
Thats weird the Retro didnt respond to you I have never done a 4th gen so I dont want to give you misleading info.

Put in my Bixenon's yesterday and without the truck running they turned on, switched to high beam and back with no problems. Started truck up, same result. This was WITHOUT resistors in place.
Went for a drive last night just because and was switching between high and lows. Worked fine for the first 15 times probably and then when I switched back to lows.....NO LIGHTS Had to pull over, turn the truck off, then restart it. Lights came on and I drove home on lows.
So I went out today and installed the pre-made resistor harness (from the first post) onto the passenger side. Started truck and I noticed the lights turned on and warmed up much faster than before. Switched to high beams....they blinked 4 times then nothing. Switched to lows and they turned right on.
Now whats going on here or what needs done to fix this? I am far from an electrician and don't understand it well Any help would be appreciated.

When I first start the truck and turn the lights on, one fog light will come on and my headlights will flash once then shut off. The one fog will remain on.
Once I cycle the lights to off then turn them back on, they fire right up and stay lit. This is killing me. Haha. I knew it was going to be a pain in the and thats why I held off for so long. If anyone could be of ANY help I'd appreciate it.
i have an 06 i just put 6k hid's in. they work flawlessly but im wondering if theres a way to shut off my headlights when i hit the unlock button on my key. anyone know how to do this. ive searched but cant find anything on it. i found the info for 4th generation dodges but havent seen anything for 3rd gen. if anyone knows how to do this i would greatly appreciate it. i dont wanna ruin hid's by having them come on everytime i unlock my truck.

I have the Xenerac single low beam hids sometimes they turn on and work great sometimes they flicker...do I need resistors? Anyone can teach me what I need and how to wire up to stop this flickering thanks
You will either need a relay harness or resistors. Without me actually looking and finding out what It needs I would guess resistors first. Reason you only have a low beam kit so your FCM or TIPM does not see the highbeam causing it to have a lamp out light on and go into safe mode so to speak. It's basically thinking you have a faulty bulb.
