Have anyone of you bought a used cummins and had to "transfer the warrantee"? How do you or where do you go to do this? Reason I'm asking is mine is down now after owning it for 2 1/2 weeks. It has 105000 on the clock but according to the warrantee the 7/100000 cummins part begins after the 3/36000 ends which still would put me under warentee if I know where to get the tranfered warrentee from.
It is 8yrs/136000mile. But it is extremly hard to get DC to do the warranty. I personally feel that it is more trouble than it is worth. What is wrong with your truck? Do you have the original warranty booklet?
My little brothers 05 wasnt even warranteed at 43K:fist:
what was the deal with your bothers truck that they didn't warrenty it?

He bought it used and after about 2 weeks of owning it it developed a really bad tick. COme to find out it didnt have any compression in #4 cylinder. Anyways the dealer said that it had a programmer on it so that voided his warranty. He didnt have a programmer on it until after he put the new motor in.
I called Dodge to see about the warrentee, they said I was out of warrentee since the truck has more than 100000. I asked her if she had the warrentee book and she did I sent her to page 10. I asked her according to the page what is the length of the CUmmins warrentee? SHe said 7 years 100000 miles. I said when does the warrentee begin? She read it and stated from the day you drive it off the lot at 1 mile. I said read it again, she said "well it says it starts at the end of the 3/36000, but thats not what it means to say" I said the Cummins website says the same thing. She gave me the honk then I ask for her supervisor that said the same thing even after she read it, I asked her how many customers call to complain about it and she says quite a few. Imagine that. Customer service at its best.
it's 5/ 100,000 Everyone that has owned a diesel knows it. Customer service with Dodge is very very good as long as you don't get an attitude with them the second you get an attitude they are no longer nice
