Leaking Power Steering Fluid/ATF like an SOB????

Well I have loved my truck for the last 8 months or so that I have owned it but developed a little leak from somewhere. I thought it was the pump at first but the pump looks clean for the most part but where ever it is leaking from it is all over the steering box and front diff cover.

It was a slow leak at first but now it is getting out of hand, it is going through a quart every 2 days or so. When I check the fluid level the remaining fluid is all "Bubbly" like it was getting a massive amount of air from somewhere...

Do you think that the power steering pump or box is bad, or do you think that I could have a loose reservior or fluid line? I have checked the bottle and it seems to be fine.

last summer on my truck, my transmission line that runs below the power steering pump came loose from the clip that is supposed to hold it away from the frame. so my line had been rubbing against the frame for who knows how long but it finally wore through the metal line and created a little hole but nobody could tell from just looking under the truck cause it was a mess of fluid everywhere. anyways before i found it, i had real hard shifting, rough running and fluid loss under the truck of course. it was basically shooting it out as fast as i could pour it in. i went through 50 dollars worth of atf in one day before i found what the problem was. cut a piece out of the line and hooked both ends together with some rubber fuel and some clamps. very cheap fix and has worked great. i then checked it a few days later again and it was still holding up but the other line had begun to rub also but hadnt gone all the way through yet so i went an bought some more of the same rubber fuel line cut a slit down one side of it to split in half and put it around the other line to protect it from the frame. Has worked great ever since then. hope this helps in some way.

I will have to check and see thanks. I can't tell where it is coming from either because there is fluid everywhere. The tranny levels are just fine though so it is isolated to the Power Steering system somewhere.

I had one of the p/s hoses leak last fall. It was the one with the black weight (I forget the term) on it. It was leaking from under that weight, it was tough to find as it did not leak all of the time. Made a decent sized mess under the hood though.

I had problems with the PS leaking, turned out to be the hose clamps... replaced all of them, now no leaks...

I will try the clamps and check the lines. I need to fix it though becuz I'm now at a quart a day and it is everywhere but the actual pump looks dry, I don't knoe ehats going on. There is PS all over the steering box, top to bottom. Could that be leaking fluid? Stupid question but I'm not familiar with the PS systems being none of my past vehicles have had it...lol
