7 Speaker upgrades Stereo Guru's HELP!

I have an 06 with the 7 speaker infinity audio system and I installed a Kenwood 9140 in my truck. I love the KW head unit and the sound quality is much better than stock even with just the head unit replacement... BUT now I am thinking about replacing the factory speakers and using aftermarket amps. Truck will get dynomatted eventually too.

I have installed a lot of audio systems, but never a 7 speaker setup... And Im not worrying about subs for now, just speakers.

I'm not going to spend the money for high end competition quality (focal Be's and such), but I'll go with some decent stuff. Im thinking maybe Focal Polyglass, Polk MM, Boston SR or similar. Any reccomendations?

So, my questions are... what is the best way to hook up a 7 speaker system? And, where is the factory amp and how best to remove/disable it. Also, can I use pre outs and speaker outs simultaniously, and without any delay effects?

I believe that the Kenwood speaker outs are 22w RMS each, and that most aftermarket 3.5" speakers don't need more than 25w RMS power, so I can hook up the FL and FR speaker outs to my L and R dash speakers, then I can install a 4 channel amp (~75w RMS/channel) hopefully under one seat to run the door speakers.

That takes care of 6 speakers. The KW has a center channel pre out, but how do I use it? Do I need to find a 25w RMS mono amp???

i belive the amp is behind the glove box but when i put a new head unit in my truck i had to disconect the plug form the amp and they gave me an amp bypass kit to use which basically in my opinion took the whole purpose of the infinity sound system away because when you do it like that the tweeters are always popping without crossovers so i unhooked mine and if its like mine there are two plugs on the amp and you only have to use one and i dont know what to do with the other plug so i left it disconnected

Without the factory amp, you will need some serious processing power to pull off a 7 speaker system. I wouldnt try it. I disconnected the dash speakers and installed components in my front doors (6.5s in the doors and tweeters flushed in the mirror covers). I didnt like the sound of the 7 speaker. the driver side dash speaker is almost directly in front of the driver. that seemed to pull the sound to the right for me. bugged the crap out of me. My simple component set sounds much better in my opinion. if you were really stuck on 7 speakers, you would need 2 processors such as the fosgate 3sixty.2, zapco dsp6, or audison bit.1. Each can do 6 channels but you would need control for 8 (7 plus sub)
