Some questions from the new guy

Hello everyone. I'm new and this should probably be under FAQ but I didnt see one.

I'm considering buying an 07 Dodge 2500 with Cummins 5.9L

I've found one but its not local and they say its an SLT with CRANK windows (manual)... In my search for a truck I have never seen any 3rd gen 2500 Cummins with crank windows, much less an SLT.

What are the differences in packages between SLT and Laramie?

Do all the SLT come standard with power windows/locks/driver seat?

Thanks

if it had crank windows, it's a work truck package ( most basic package ). There's way to many variables and packages to be able to tell you what's, what. Laramie's are the only packages with leather seats and have a few things different on their trim.

The pictures of this truck dont show any emblems on the tailgate below 4x4 (such as the traditional SLT you'd see).

Also the front bumper is black/chrome, not body color matched since the truck is white.

Only other thing I noticed in the pics is TRX4 offroad decal

there's a ton of trucks on Ebay to be had for great prices. Like I said, sounds like the one you found is a work truck package which is likely why the price may have attracted you.

Always check the vin if you are traveling any long distances. Could save you some time and some disappointment.

X2 I agree....I had a local Dodge dealer run the VIN and they can give you a print out of ALL the options that were on the truck from factory...It might be worth checking into if its something you're interested in.

GOOD LUCK
